This first episode, entitled “Installation”, is about how to download and install WebYep. It also goes through what plugins are available, where to get them, and how to activate them in WebYep. I also take the opportunity to talk about web security in terms of protecting your login information as well as how to connect Freeway, using Max Fancourt’s WebYep actions, to the WebYep installation. I wrap up with a bit of a demo on adding a WebYep Rich Text Element Action to your Freeway document, uploading it to the server, then entering in text using CKEditor to show you just how fast and easy it is to work with.
We’ll be building an entire website using WebYep which will involve a photo gallery, news and events sections, simple about pages, and more. This website will be a real project for a real organization that will be viewable on a real domain. A first of it’s kind in Freeway!
This is a great CMS to use that doesn’t require hours of training nor does it take a long time to get started using it. I’ve never come across a system that was so easy to use, yet so powerful in enabling anybody to build a dynamic website quickly and easily.

Please read the System / Server Requirements for WebYep to make sure you can even use it on your hosting package. You won’t need Max Fancourt’s WebYep Actions for the series, but if you plan on following along then you’ll need them eventually.
